Building a posting rhythm
How many posts per issue, and how to spread them across the week.
Consistency beats volume
A rhythm you can keep up every week usually does more than a burst followed by silence. People start to expect you, and you learn faster what works.
A simple starting point
For each issue, pick a few of its strongest ideas and give each one its own post, rather than summarising the whole issue in one. Then spread them out: one channel or idea per day across the week, instead of everything on the day the issue goes out.
These are starting points, not rules. Your own analytics will tell you what your audience responds to.
Plan it on the calendar
- 1Draft your posts for the issue.
- 2Open Posts and switch to Week view.
- 3Drag each draft from the Unscheduled tray onto a different day and hour.
Running several newsletters? Use the publication filter on Posts to plan one at a time.
Reddit is different
Reddit communities are wary of frequent posting. Leave at least two days between posts to the same subreddit, and don’t post the same text to several subreddits in one day. Karrow warns you before a post breaks either of these.
