Scheduling and the calendar

Plan a week of posts, drag them onto days, and move them around.

Schedule a post

  1. 1Click Schedule on a draft card, in the editor, or in the post drawer.
  2. 2Pick a day on the calendar, then a time. Times go in 15-minute steps and are shown in your own timezone.
  3. 3Click Schedule. Scheduling is the approval: nothing goes out until you do this.

To publish right away, choose Post now under the calendar and confirm when it asks “Publish now?”.

Use the calendar

Open Posts from the sidebar to see everything in one place. Switch between List, Month, and Week, filter by publication or channel, and use the status strip (All, Drafts, Scheduled, Posted, Failed) to narrow it down.

Drag drafts onto a day

On desktop, the Unscheduled tray beside the calendar holds your drafts. Drag one onto a day to schedule it. In Month view it lands at 9 AM; in Week view it takes the hour you drop it on.

Scheduled posts can be dragged to a new day too, and keep their time of day. Posts that already went out or failed stay where they are.

Change a scheduled post

Click any post to open its drawer. To move it, pick a new time in its Schedule picker.

A scheduled post’s text is locked so what goes out is exactly what you approved. To edit it, choose Cancel scheduled post: it goes back to being a draft you can change and schedule again.

If a post fails, the drawer shows the reason the platform gave, when it gives one. Click Edit & reschedule to fix it and try again.

Reddit posts need a subreddit

A Reddit post can’t be scheduled until you choose the subreddit it’s for (and flair, if that community requires it). Open the draft in the editor and pick one under Subreddit.
